Three Ways to Search Tuscarawas County Property Records
Method 1 â Search by Owner Name
Use this when: You know who owns the property but do not have the address or parcel number. Also the best method for farmland in Sandy Township or Warren Township where many rural parcels have no standard street address.
Go to auditor.co.tuscarawas.oh.us and click Owner in the left sidebar. The form opens with Last, First, and Middle fields.
Enter the last name only in the Last field â uppercase, last name first. Example: MILLER, not James Miller. If the name is common, add first name in the First field.
Keep both Real Estate and Manufactured Home boxes checked. Click Search. A list of matching parcels loads â click any row to open the full property record.
During testing, searching “David Strickler” typed together in one field returned zero results every time. Switching to STRICKLER in the Last field and DAVID in the First field found the parcel near Wabash Avenue NW in New Philadelphia immediately.

Method 2 â Search by Property Address
Use this when: You know the street address but not who owns it. Works for any property in New Philadelphia, Dover, Uhrichsville, Bolivar, Newcomerstown, or any village and township across Tuscarawas County.
Go to the portal and click Location. Enter the house number and abbreviated street name â not the full spelled-out name.
Type IRON AVE E, not “East Iron Avenue.” The county stores all street names abbreviated. Full names return zero results every time.
For a broader search, enter only the street name with no house number â every parcel on that road appears. Select the correct property from results.

Find it on your Tuscarawas County property tax bill or deed. Format is XX-XXXXX-XXX with dashes â example: 34-00021-000.
